yup, that's about it....

ME

ME also

I thought I'd share some funny pix with ya...this just about says what this day is like around here.
you can lead the horse to water but you can't make him drink.
Kinda like with kids. You can post a chart of time allotted things to get done, and they still dawdle. Dilly dally. Mosey.
I throw my hands up. I surrender. What gives? today is an exception of course...historical day. elections only come once every four years (whew! good thing)...so we are plugging away at our list of things to do....
I need to exercise for. a. long. time.
I need to get our food laid out for the commander in chief of our home to check over...I love when that boy gets all prepared and organized (he's always organized, by the way). I've been buying dry goods to have 3 months on hand. I will admit, it's not been easy for me. I've learned a lot about myself. I'm not very bright. I struggle with money, numbers, and organization. Dang! those are three of the MAIN things I NEED to be good at to run a home. HELP!
David is good at it, but he thinks I can grasp what's going on in his very organized, analytical mind. Oy VEY!
Give me some pictures. I will blog or scrap them. Give me some cardstock and embellishments, I will make you a nice card. Give me some notebook paper. I will write you a nice letter.
Give me a checkbook or pile of food? wha?? you want me to do what with this?
so that is what I'm facing right now. too much to remember.
hope this finds you having a delightful, unseasonably warm day.
I met some of my neighbors at the polls this morning...funny to think I walk right by their house EVERY day...I met Nija and Jill. We saw some of the folks that we already know, Joe, Randy, Steve...I like the small town aspect. usually.
Philippians 4:6 - 9 - Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
In a letter from the Apostle Paul, while imprisoned, to the people at the church of Philippi.

i am like you :) money, numbers, what? i am organized, but somehow my house is a disaster half the time. i can't imagine doing all of it with 5 kids - you are a superhero just trying to attempt it! i am patting myself on the back cuz i remembered to make a menu plan for the week, for once. now i just need to stick to it :)

well, that's refreshing...you? I guess our houses/money always seems disastrous to us...moreso.

Way to go on the menu...give me one ounce of your organized brain, huh?

we will look back on these years and remember only the good things.

hugs!

hopefully we will just remember the good things :) it gets pretty chaotic here, which is tough for me, since i get really overwhelmed. i can come up with a good plan, but i can never quite get it into action. i think my new plan should be winning the lottery and hiring other people to do all this for me :)

oooh, I like your new plan. I like the lottery plan...can I get a cut?

I hear ya on the overwhelmed front. I didn't used to be so flipped out...I think that fifth kid put me over the edge.

nice, deep breaths.

Um, yeah...I think you'll find that more women than not are unorganized and struggle w/ numbers - I tell myself that, anyways to make myself feel better. But honestly!...we're creative nurturers by nature! It's just what we do! If we weren't, who would kiss and snuggle the babies and make their boo-boos better and make the house a home? It takes all of us!

very good and very true point, Heather...it's that creative/nurturing side of us as women that keeps our kids, family, friends going.
I'm counting on that.
good reminder!
