NickNat Nuptials Part II: Breathtakingly Joyful Bride...

Brittany, Keeley, Emily, and Emilie...

Nick's looking a little bit teary...are those glisteny cheeks? yes, I do believe they are....awww. and I know the names of Ben, his bro and best man on the left and Nathan next to him...I managed to forget the other guys' names. but I didn't actually meet them so I'm forgiven.

Levi wanted to hug the left side and Brittany, the co-coordinator, encouraged him to keep his head UP...so this is pretty good for him...I was so proud of our little ringbearer. And he actually had the real rings on his pillow. Trusty folks.

Rachel and Lauren

sniff sniff....is there ever a moment more glorious? and can we see why Christ refers to us, those that believe, as His Bride?

still so funny to me that my mother in law was pregnant with this chick at our wedding nearly 16 years ago. I think Em was a little torn to see her sis gettin' married.

Levi did a really good job walking up to the stage with the rings at the appropriate time. When he got there, he made sure to do a double take to search the crowd for my parents....and why not, with that birdseye view? It was almost as cute as Nat twirling willy nilly at our nuptials so long ago.

This is while "All I Ask of You" was being sung...and Nat must've been in the middle of a great story...she is so expressive when she speaks. Nick's expression is priceless because the love for her is so apparent...

Ok, I know this is Emily (a different one) and the youth pastor of Calvary...but I didn't catch his name. so, my bad...but they sang the song mentioned above. excellent!

The rings....

um, these are out of order. dang it. above, obviously the walk down the aisle as man and wife....and below, I now pronounce you....and you may now kiss the bride....

Molly did very well and thankfully, the ceremony was not long! I think she is maybe trying to poke her own eyes out here...

NickNat Nuptials Part I (and a cute li'l ring "bear")

someone was taking their job verrrry seriously. (notice the pretend pillow....)

Listening to Mrs. T's (the wedding coordinator) organized instruction!

Why the long face??

These pictures pretty much speak for themselves...the rehearsal was the start of a very nice Nick & Nat weekend...

Natalie, you have grown into such an amazing young woman...I'm honored to know you. I also wish I had gotten over myself enough to enjoy you more when you were a little one, peering into our ONE basement apartment window...Needless to say, David and I are so happy for you and Nick...you are a cool couple!

History Fair 09

I don't know this little girl. She was not that old but her presentation was so cute. The kids were to start out with their names but she started out "My name is Queen Elizabeth...." she did a really great job...

All the homeschool presenters....good job kids!

Here's Will giving his presentation on Wilbur and Orville Wright....Great work, Will!

Mel did her presentation on Sacajawea...Excellent work, Young Lady!

Ethan's presentation was on Ulysses S. Grant, our 18th President...Smooth operating, E!

It was really neat to participate in the History Fair at the Greenwood Public Library last week. I'm so thankful that our local library has cool things for homeschooled kids to do.

Good work to all the kids!

Nick and Nat

little blasts from Natalie's past...she's the adorable small chick in ivory.

sorry that these are out of order...I really wanted Nick and Nat's pix to be first but I still have so much to learn on Mac...I can't move 'em without deleting them. Natalie, you were so cute...well, you still are but it's weird to tell a 19 year old lady that...

God bless you two as you begin life as man and wife...

Keep that fun spirit. You will need it...especially when it's time to balance the checkbook and call the credit card to get the available balance....heck, just avoid the credit card all together. my words of wisdom to a young couple starting out...

Awww, I'm already choking up.

David's little sister, Natalie, is getting married to Nick in a bit over 24 hours. She was our little flower girl nearly 16 years ago...where does that time go?

I wish I could post the video from our wedding...I will have to figure that out, since it's on VHS. but she stood up on the stage with all of us and just twirled like there was no tomorrow. It is adorable. So instead, I will try to scan a pic of her as said flower delight and put it here...brb.

In the meantime, though, it has been a whirlwind week...and I look forward to the time away from our house...not that our house is bad...but it's just been ahhhh....

so, hope you have a wonderful weekend...I will have pix upon my return...until then, hold your britches.

**these are not my photos of NickNat. I lifted them from her MySpace/Facebook pages. Wanted to make sure to give credit where credit is due...there ya go.

Baptisms and Church services in barns...

the W's barn...it's humongous...and can't wait for the square dancin' hoe down...(the pool, not pictured here, is to the left of the tree...)

Molly was quite excited to see her fave, Courtney...could we adopt you, CS? you are adorable and my kids LOVE you! so great to see you.

David had the opportunity to baptize E and Mel...and he even got to go first...which made him nervous because he was hoping to watch a few of the other fathers so he'd know "exactly" how to word it. ha ha. if you know David, you know this lack of confidence is kinda cute. so awesome to be a part of this service today...we love our Horizon family.

Buried in the likeness of Christ's death...

raised in the likeness of His resurrection...

ok, bring her up..

after the baptism service, a few brave folks, like David here, wanted to enjoy the 82 degree pool. This one needs to work on his form. yowza!

Mel's artwork...good work, M.

Mel and E. got baptized this afternoon. awesome to see and be a part of.

Our church is currently without a building of it's "own"...so one of the co-pastors hosted today's baptism service/lunch...the in-ground pool was lovely and warm. Afterwards, yum food and the biggest hot dogs ya ever did see...I should have gotten a picture of them...

Ok, I'm sleepy but hope this finds you and yours ready for the start of this week...our week promises to be quite busy and exhilarating...Natalie, enjoy your last week as a singleton...can't wait for the upcoming wedding!! pictures galore, I'm sure...happy last day of summer to you...

last Saturday of the summer...

This is usually more of a "creek" but we've had NO rain in Sept.

Hello Red Cheeks...

Don't leave me hangin'...

Hello diaperbutt...those are some unflattering pantses ya got there, Miss.
