When I survey the wondrous cross...

This picture pretty much sums up what I'm dwelling on.

JESUS CHRIST.

There is power in His name.  You can't say it without knowing that. Name Above All Names.

May you find quiet moments to reflect on all that He has done for you in this season of Resurrection.

Thank You for the cross.

As I ponder filling Easter baskets (I don't do much because I don't want to face the temptation of Reese's eggs and Cadbury mini eggs...etc), I can't help but think of Jack.

This time last year, Easter was April 24th, exactly two months before my due date. I was feeling ginormous, heart burny and rather ungrateful.

I did have enough foresight to purchase Jack's felt Robot Easter basket while purchasing Molly and Levi's. Darn myself for planning ahead.

I found it a few weeks ago, shoved in the back of my closet. I knew it was there but must've subconsciously shoved stuff in front of it.

I shed a few little tears for my boy when I spied it. darn him for leaving us...darn it for never getting to hear how he cried. darn that dang silly life changing knotted cord. I feel so cheated tonight...

but then, glorious thought...

as we prepare to dye eggs and lay our clothing out for our early morning...I chewed on this thought...

We will head to church to sing songs about Christ's death, burial and Resurrection...

and Jack is in His presence.

representing us....

man...

I thought about that amazing fact as I finished up my last mile running on the tready. I usually cry anyways, at the end of my session, because it can be so grueling and it always ALWAYS always reminds me of JOY...but this....ahhhh, this...brought fresh brutal joyfully happy tears.

My boy is with Jesus Christ.

He is Risen.
He is Risen Indeed.

Laurie, what a glorious thought!!!! What a blessing to know that our precious loved ones are praising Him for what HE has done in HIS very presence!!! Thank you so much for sharing your thought and emotions with us even when it's hard and painful. You bless others SO much when you share how the Lord is working, even in this painful situation. I love you my friend, and I'm praying for you. May you have a blessed Resurrection Sunday!
Hugs,
Shellee
