Hide your camera from...Levi.

a little close and over exposed, Levi...but you'll learn.

I'm sure he was just lounging around on the floor here...what a view! Mel fixin' her 'do, and David scratching his belly. hmmm. how do I delete these again?

good pic of Molly, Levi. love those baby blues.

Not a bad shot, either, Mr. Photog. You are one artsy fella!

He really enjoys taking pix of the island.

I've got a few things I could blog about but nothing is more fun than uploading pix and discovering that your rascal-y kids (Levi, to be exact) have snapped a few shots.

I really do appreciate it because, with all the busyness of life around here lately, I have not had the time or desire to take pix or to blog.

That stinks. I pray my load lightens soon so I'm able to update this more frequently.

All in all, though, things are quite excellent here...and "things" are moving full steam ahead on the business front....so that is great! David's meeting in MD went as well as could be expected, if not better! So Praise the Lord for this! he's on his way home even as I type.

That's all she wrote. night.

Hide your cameras...

Poser!!

trick photography

yes, he did this himself, and took a picture while digging...nice. Hope he didn't touch my camera after that. but unfortunately, he did...nasty little booger boy.

love this mop top of funky curls...

she's putting her granola bar in her hair here...sheesh.

While uploading the most recent pix taken on my Canon...these top few were a pleasant little treat for me. Love when Levi confiscates my cam...and pix his nose and takes pictures of that. weird, gross little boy. that makes us laugh.
We are all doing ok...I'm a little bit sick...nothing serious, just a sore throat...laryngitis...no voice, stuffy yet runny nose...the kids have been amazingly healthy this winter, so far. yes, I know. now that I've put that out there, someone will come down with something. I pray not but that's just Murphy's Law.
David, oh David...he's been a busy boy. Pray for him, he's got a lot on his plate right now...more on this later but I know he'd appreciate your prayers!
Hopefully, I'll be inspired to take some photos for the blog. Dad, sorry I've been a bloggin' bummer lately...I think my brain shuts down (more than normal) when it gets this flippin' cold. And Beck? I haven't forgotten the Days of Becky Goodness. I plan to drudge up some old pix tomorrow, whilst I'm watching your daughter for the day....so that should be fun!
Until then...arrividerci...adios....happy trails! God Bless you...

Levi....self-portrait apprentice in training

this is a picture of a picture...his preschool years.

this is what happens when I'm doing something else...you should see the little video clips he did of himself.
If I could upload them, I would. pretty cheesy.
this kid crax me up.
Hope your Monday/week is off to a good start...Six more weeks of winter, apparently. barf. :)

Title-less Thursday

I spent a good part of Thursday doing all of this. What is all of this, you ask? The totes, toys, junk that you'd find in the upstairs storage room...I'm going thru them, emptying, determining if we need to keep what is inside or not...Goodwill loves me this week!

one of those good reasons to hide your cam from your kids...

Levi and his Gramps

the lighting was horrible for my cam (of course, it would help if I actually knew how to use all the features on my cam)...but this little girl was so cute...so prissy...just kept waving at us, making sure we were all watching her.

Piper with her teacher, Mrs. P. I like that Nora is right behind them...

some of our brood at Mickey D's after the program

this is me, choosing joy in spite of the fact that I feel like my chest is caving in.

Today....ahh. today. so much to do, so little time.
I'm doing some serious fall cleaning. I'm over it. we have too much junk. (shhh, don't tell David...)
Piper had her K3-K4 preschool program tonight...those kinds of things always make me cry...it's so sweet to see and hear all those little humans just singing away, trying to stay still, trying to do what their teachers have taught them. And failing. miserably. Piper is a bit older and focused, so that was cute...she is such a little lady. But those K3 kids? rough around the edges...one little dude right in the front row was a high-pitched little dude...and he was laughing, singing really high, and almost angrily at points. when they had the kids sit for the reading, he was eating his shoe and distracting the other kiddies around him. We were all thinkin' that his afternoon dose of Ritalin was worn away. cute at first but yeah...I'd have been embarrassed if it was my kid.
I don't have energy to write anymore tonight but just wanted to get these pix posted and let ya know I was still here. Big hugs and prayers to you!

I'm walkin' on Sunshine....

reason #134: why we hide our cameras from our kids. Nearly 6-year old punks take 38 pictures of themselves almost every day.

whaddya think of the mosaic tables? The smaller one is obviously missing his mosaic...but the bigger one is finished...put your orders in now.

Uncle Tom took Moll for a spin at Dr. Andry's office yesterday...

then he held her upside down, she used to like this. she isn't so fond of it now. can't imagine why.

Dr. Andry Rocks! he makes our skeletons and muscles sing songs of joy! plus, he's a nice guy too!

giving Levi an adjustment...we have seen so many amazing improvements with this little guy since Levi's first visit here!

E. wants to grow up to be like Dr. A. I told him that was ok by me! free adjustments for the rest of my life!

Because there's no sunshine, anywhere around these parts today. And that's fine! that just means that this nasty weather system will move on out just in time for our harvest party tomorrow!

What else is up today? I'm supposed to be running errands but have decided to wait until the last minute and finish up tomorrow morning. Had a nice visit with my parental units this morning, after Mel's haircut...Dad sat and brushed Mel's hair for a long time...(I remember him doing this with me)...did I get a picture of it? no. that would be memorable. I fail in this area a lot of the time!

David is home from work today. He just left to run a few errands...and the grey skies cleared up. Not because he left, though he isn't in the most chipper mood this morning. Said something about how messy the kids and I were under his breath. O you love us, Dman. So I venture on to get this "treehouse" cleaned up.

I will try to post my story later on...it has to do with vehicles "Monster trucks"....this will make sense when I post it later on. Until then, sit in suspense, would ya?

Blessed Family Gatherings...

Good evening friends in blogland!! a quick weekend update for ye!

My big guys stopped chucking their water bombs long enough for me to get a group shot! Thanks fellas!

Molly loved said water bombs! They kept her really happy in the hotel room! (speak this next sentence in a Scottish accent)...lookit the size of that great heed...it's like Sputnik. (It does look rather plastic-y does it not?)

this boy is funny...he hung out in the hot tub most of the time!

enjoying my half caff Americano. I did take photos of the kids and their drinks but will have to upload those at a later date!

Watching the trains coming down the pike...woo hoo! chugga chugga

Hanging out over the Wabash...ooops, almost lost ya there Jeff...

David and I credit this dude for teaching our kids all the crazy, daredevily things they do...like climbing rock buildings, jumping off of stuff, hanging over bridges like they are falling in, etc...Thanks Jeff! ya daredevil you...

proof that I was there...my feet above speeding train

as always, I make such lovely faces for the cam...D. you look good, fella!

Levi and Pa

Posers posing for the Poser Queen (B)...see below please (and I have so many more where these came from)

I was trying to take one of "those" shots that all the scrapbookers get...ya know, the ones where you get your loved ones walking away, a shot from behind perse, and lo and behold, I get this...which just happens to be one of my new favorites...her hand is even spread out behind her. I mean, what agility? she is gifted...

The "vacationing" crew, minus my dad and momma, Beck and I...and even Tom skipped out on this one as well...stinker!! he actually managed to sneak out of most of my pix...and I think it's because he is busy taking so many pictures of his own. My dad's aunt, Mimi, (my great aunt) was like that...always snapping pix of us as youngsters. So that is my new nickname for you, Tom..."Tomimi"

Piper, Princess Poser

Mel (aka "Kate", which just happens to be her middle name, and she informed us on the way up to Lafayette that she would like to be referred to as this now...)

Guess who likes pasta salad? dang it....there was a really cute shot of her licking the bowl...he was NOT feeding her fast enough!

I attempted to put these pix in order but alas, they are not!

Hi. How are ya?

I hope and pray that all is well with you! Lots of weird things are happening lately....scary things that make me so glad that I rest in the Lord...I won't name any of them because this is supposed to be a cheery, family post..so maybe another time! when I'm all melancholy and such...:)

these pix are from our very nice, very relaxing Sunday evening get together in Lafayette, Indiana. The Hilton Garden Inn is so lovely!! Whatta nice get away for all of us! (see May of last year). We ate at Panera after a nice walk thru downtown Lafayette...then hung out at Borders for a bit before everyone except for Dad, Beck, Pipes, Nora, Mollsy and I went to see Indiana Jones. B. and I tended to our young girls and visited some blogs on her laptop (lovin', LOVIN' hi-speed, ya know??) nice to be able to watch little video clips on blogs I visit that I don't get to see on my backwoods contraption...though I am very thankful for the backwoods contraption that I have!!

Sorry Momma, for not making sure you were properly represented in any of these pictures! That is just NOT right!

I don't have too much to say...we worked our bums off on our outside project this very day...so I'm exhausted to say the least! (I made 4 trips to Menards or Lowe's) Let the above pictures speak for themselves. There are so many more where these come from, but it's taken my computer all evening to upload the few that are here...so maybe I will get some more on tomorrow and also bless you with a few pix of our progress out of doors! I know, calm down, chomp at that bit, comment to me just how much you are dyyyyyyyyyying to see our progress. C'mon, I know. :) you will be amazed though. amazed at what these country bumpkins (well, I'm not a country bumpkin...but all of my kids are) can accomplish.

Good night folksies! God Bless you and thank you for visiting my bloggishness.

This is a weird post...

poor chubby birdie flew into the kids' bedroom window...Sherry, birdie was ok...just stunned and embarrassed because we made fun of it. "Uh, duh, there's a winder there! Go poop on my clean van, K??" (by the way, doesn't our mulch look snazzy??)

blurry sugar pie
**sparkle, sparkle**

um, what is this?

one of those reasons to hide your cam from your kids...isn't this the weirdest pic of Levi EVER?
who IS this kid?

Mel's having an identity crisis! she wants an afro!

classy. um, I was supposed to watch her in this evil contraption. She fell off and
hit her melon on the cabinet...not good. she was ticked!

Kinda aimless and far from cute (this post that is). But that's ok. Life is kinda like that right now. These pix have no theme...they are just some random shots from the past week!

Molly, poor thing, has cut her first tooth. It's not up yet but it has broken thru and is causing her some extreme misery. We are enjoying some of her brand of misery as well. She is not her usual self today, though she has tried. I was in the store tonight and she just looks so cute sitting up in the cart...looking around, taking it all in, being cute etc. A nice lady came up to us when we were walking out to tell me how sweet M. was, what beautiful eyes and how happy she was...I was surprised because she had not really been any of those things today. Puffed up peepers, runny nose and mouth, grumpaliciousness, fever...I guess she is just doing what I've always tried to teach my kids, and that is "get over yourself, smile, say HI, be happy, make eye contact, yada yada yada"... she really is a good kid.

The pic of my (very clean) van and the rocks in the back cup holder are just on here to remind myself that yes, at one point in time during this rainy spring, my van WAS clean...Levi is a holy, mess making terror right now. I'm glad, he is just so full of life but I had spent an entire afternoon cleaning, scrubbing, moving seats, disgusting myself with how doity our van had gotten...and came out to finish up, only to find this huge, dusty pile of driveway rocks packed so nicely in. ugh. (this is where I had meltdown..) so pardon my reminder. (slow news day! sorry)

go play a fun trick on a loved one. get a rise out of someone. then hug them and take them to dinner to make up for the heart attack you've just caused.

Ok, well, I need to finish the laundry folding marathon, and hit the hay...Hope you are having a lovely week! be back tomorrow!
