Birthdays, fires, collages & hula babies galore!

We enjoyed a lovely birthday dinner in honor of my mom yesterday! Vito Provolone's, a nice little Italian place on the southside of Indy, is a cozy, tasty little place to dine...give 'em a try.

pretty girl...playing coy with me.

thanks for being the go to girl on the snack front, Becky. Molly knows you have the goods.
On a different note, Nora bean? I hope you get to feeling better very soon!

Thanks for a delicious meal, Mom and Dad. good eatin', good fellowshippin'!

Mel wanted to try the hula outfit on her poor baby sister again...and in looking at the dates from the last time she did it, it was about this time last year! talk about the mundane days of winter...let's dress our sis in weird outfits...she'll get ya back, Mel.

Our little firestarter! E. does a great job with keeping the home fires burning!

Molly's baby collage was added to the wall of kids this weekend! it's so fun to walk down memory lane and quite difficult to swallow that she's already 18 months old!

Uppercase Living Party...

mmmm chocolatey goodness

Charlie's Angels...aka, Cheryl, Beth and Melissa

Beck's high school pal, Amanda and my mom

Jordan with Nora and Molly...look at that skill

Beck had a UL party Thursday night, with a lovely spread of delish food and fine fellowship. We had Charlie's Angels in attendance as well as the cutest, tiniest little friend of Beck's, Margaret. (she really is itty bitty and so cheerful). Becky's teenaged niece, Jordan, helped out with the little people.

Hope y'all are having a wonderful weekend...this sunshine has done my soul a world of good!!
I will be posting today or tomorrow on Molly and her new Build-A-Bear leopard she got in commemoration of her birth (exactly 7 mos ago this very day!!)...she is starting to sit up as well...she is so darn happy and cute!

Monday, Monday, can't trust that day...

Weekend update...I forgot my camera for David's family reunion. Duh! And there were many good photo-ops of Molly with David's aunts, cousins...etc. Bummer! I was not happy with myself.
So here are a few pix from Friday night, mom and dad came to visit...wanted to see our tree. Dad and Levi and Mom with Molly...pretty self-explanatory really. The bottom two pix are from tonight. Molly and Nora were chillin' on Nora's busy time mat. Nora kept pulling on Molly's ear or hair! it was cute...I helped my sis put the lights on her blessed tree. Ugh. I love you though Beck.. and I would have even done it without bribery (the creamy crockpot chicken WAS good)! I took a few cute pix of her and Scott in the kitchen but this cat is tired and heading to bed. I will post them on Tuesday daytime. I know the suspense is killing you but you'll be OK. Nighty night.

Ethan and Melanie baby pic bonanza, Will Big Hair...Mom spooky eyes too...

Lovin' my momma's beautiful peepers!!
Ethan definitely inherited my mom's big, haunting eyes.
Mel has some striking peepers as well!! Will Big Hair (his Indian name) with Molly
Big Bow (her Indian name)...

I couldn't resist...here are E and Mel's pages from my momma's book, as well as a recent shot of Will, so you all out there in cyberspace could see why this momma is all melancholy about her firstborn....he is as tall as me, if not taller with feet that are definitely larger than mine by now. He is sporting some hair on his upper lip as well...and I just can't handle these kids growing up so fast. Anyways, you can also hopefully see how adorable E. and Mel were...(you still are, kids)...E. has my mom's haunting eyes, which I will post on here next (I think I will add the pic to this post) because she has some awesome peepers. Melanie is a rarity in this family, a truly gentle, sweet girly girl.
Ok, that's it...I promise. My late night cup of joe has kicked in and out now. g'night folks! Levi's page will be on here tomorrow!

These are my Girls!

I hafta say, I would be lost without my MOMMA, my SISTER, and my DAUGHTER! I am a momma's girl thru and thru...but I've gotten better over the years. I used to get so annoyed with my mom because she would talk to the baggers and cashiers at the grocery store, but now, I do it. Mom, thanks for being a good example all thru the years of patience, unconditional love and kindness! and for putting up with all of us. My sister and I, wow, what does a girl do without a sister? She has been with me thru the good times and bad, sharing things that sisters share and now we've had the opportunity to be pregnant together and have our second daughters together...She is my sunshine (our special song...goes back to 1994)...And a daughter?? How does a mom make it without a daughter? Well, I'm sure those moms' have survived but Melanie is a blessing through and through...and I thank the Lord for blessing us with her on that muggy spring morning 9 years ago. She is a rare gem and one of the sweetest girls you will meet. So this is a shout out to my girls...I love you, Mom! I love you, Beck! I love you, Melanie!! You guys are my source of inspiration and I praise the Lord for putting you in my life!
