More from Cali

Charlie J

Cutie Pie

future studmuffins of California

Phebe...who seems to resemble her cousin, Piper, just a bit in this pic.

Duncan, Charlie, and big-haired Pheebs...such a cute li'l pic of her...

Dunc, showing his wild jumping skills...if I remember correctly, his father (my li'l bro) liked to do canon balls a lot also.

Andy's kids don't get the spotlight on my blog very often, since they live forever away from us, but I gotta say, for a dude, hanging with three kids by himself (usually it's just the 2 boys but Phebe is with him for this month)...he does a pretty good job taking and sending pix of his three adorable children to the hillbillies back home (us)...so today, I will share a few of the pix that he has sent over the past few days.

Thanks, Andy, for keeping us as involved in Duncan, Charlie, and Phebe's lives as you have. (I still wish I could hug 'em and squeeze 'em...I know my big boys would love to hang with 'em, beat 'em up and all that jazz that stinky boys do)...it's nice to get these little treats in an email and it's fun to see how Pheebs has grown.

Ok, time to rally the troops...but until next time...hang tight and behave yourselves!!

Levi's Big adventure and then some...

coming down the drive with Pa (in Uncle Tom's vehicle)

carrying his teddy bear and baggage....make that boy work for his fun!!

doesn't it look chilly here? it is. but the shining sun did wonders for my soul

Thanks, Grandpa, for getting me home safe and sound...

yes, she's cute, nope, my bed isn't made (it's sheet washing day)

she will love these years from now. won't she?

We got about 3 inches of snow last night (ick)...but thankfully, it's melting nicely today! buh-bye snow. Spring, you can come NOW. hurry it up!

Levi spent the night with my parents last night. He's quite the big boy and it's nice for him to get a break from all of us! Mom and Pa know how to spoil him right.

We are getting ready to head to Patria. Just wanted to get these pix on for my parents. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, stay warm and enjoy the last weekend of WINTER! I mean it, this is the LAST weekend of winter.

Big girl in a cart & power outages

Expect more. Pay less.

Levi will be in the picture one way or another.
Yesterday was a very mild day, temps in the mid-50's to low 60's. After Will's orthodontist appt. to reattach a spring, we ran into Target...Molly is just getting too heavy to carry in her baby seat...so for fun, I put her in the basket...she didn't quite know what to think but by the time we were done, she was getting the hang of it. It is so funny to watch her see the world in a different way...I think she will really dig observing things from an upward position now! She was just soaking in the passing traffic...(I should've gotten that picture)...
The picture of our washed out driveway is just to show you how much rain we got last night...there is a big trench from the pool area down to the ravine area...craaaaaazy.
I went out with my BFF's last night and after gathering my children from their various places and waiting out the storm at my parents, we came home to NO ELECTRICITY. If you've ever been to our house or our area, you know how spooky that can be...to drive down Delivrance road (that's what I call the street behind our subdivision, where the housing is very questionable) and see NO LIGHTS, only candles. I thought for sure our street would have lights. Nope. nothing. nada. needless to say, we came in, lit some of our Y2K candles (they come in handy in moments like this)...set up blankets and sleeping bags and read our Story of the World by candle and flashlight. Halfway thru, pop, everything started whirring and we were back in business. We still finished up our reading with no lights on but then proceeded to turn on our Gilligan's Island DVD. I so wanted to blog but I fell asleep in my chair...hope you all are safe and dry today. Much to do around here to prepare for our Early Modern History club tomorrow...and my sister's Uppercase Living party tomorrow night (You can come if you want...it's neat stuff...see my friend Nicky's site, The Scoop on Stickers to see more about it). Over and out!

Rock-A-Hula Baby

Remember Molly, modesty IS the best policy!!

we need to work on her calves and thighs! This is titled "Rock-A-Hula Baby" because there is an Elvis song that I loved a lot as a youngster (something you didn't know about me,unless you are my family, I was an Elvis freak as a teenager and young adult!! I would cry over him...)and I couldn't help but sing it when we were taking these pix...she is my little rock a hula baby!!

Molly really does love wearing Melanie's Build-A-Bear hula outfit. If it wasn't 5 degrees tonight, she might like it even more.

I feel the need to be somewhere warm right now. I'm not a hot weather fan...but I would almost take a swampy August evening right about now. This weather wears on a person's frame of mind. You can see why people used to get "cabin fever" in the old days....o the blue days, the melancholy moments of winter!

It's midnight and I think this night owl may just go to bed now. We are painting our closet tomorrow...that should be lots of fun!!

I have a lot of thoughts going on in my head right now, could get really deep or overly sensitive but thought these pix of Petunia in her hula garb would hold you over till I could get my "deep thoughts" processed and save me from becoming teary and verklempt. I have a heavy heart tonight and so if you are reading this, and you are my brother or sister in Christ, maybe you could pray for me. I would appreciate it! God bless you tonight.

Sweet, sleepy babies

My beard finally grew...no, really, Molls getting loved on by Gramps...she loves his picky beard
vision of sweetness

This post is to finish up yesterday. After a crazy day of running to lunch, errands and just basically taking care of my #4 and #5 kids ON MY OWN (no help from those bigger kids that I love and depend on so very much)...poor little Levi couldn't keep his head up on the ride home. Molly had been crying a lot in the car due to no one being around to give her the pacifier, so she was plum-tuckered. Levi felt the stress and at one point in the ride, he cried because she was so upset and he said it made him sad. Whatta peach! I have totally done the 2 kid deal before (Hi Will and Ethan!!) but I'm older now, more dependent on my built in helpers and it is blasted coooooooold. I love you, my children. You are such incredible helpers and this has shown me to stop sighing at you and appreciate you for the willing helpers you are!!
Ok, hope you all are having a superb Thursday!! Stay warm! God Bless You!

Cereal with bananas

good groceries
look at her serious expression...
ah hey, why aren't you feeding me the rest? (I love grabby phase)
Such a big girl!!
Nothing quite like it, really. at least in Molly's book. She had her 2nd experience with rice cereal today...the first was not so productive a few weeks back, as she gagged on it and acted like she was going to toss her cookies. But today....ah today, she ate a little bowl with some organic baby nanners in it and she pretty much yucked it right down! Ohhh, my baby is growing up. She has survived on only her mother's milk for the past nearly 6 months of her life (and before that, off of me as well)!! She seems to be going thru a bit of a growth spurt of late, always hungry-ish, gnawing on her hands and such, thus the introduction to Earth's Best organic rice cereal. A new chapter in her new little life.

Ok, she's crying right now. upset tummy? hope not.

enjoy these fresh from the "farm" pix! outta here...

Doh!

Perfection!
omigoodness....lovin' this!
Here she is..chubby dolly baby
snoozin on the lovely Mrs. J.

I'm not sure what happened here but somehow, I posted on Molly's legs and good friends and my pix didn't upload. So sorry 'bout that! (I think I must've hit publish before I realized that the pix weren't uploaded...o boy) I can really be quite a ditz.

Someone PLEEEEEEEASE comment on how cute Molly's short little legs are...

Good night!
