Flying Circus

• I love that Tom caught this with his Nikon....it just made my year.
• I have proof that she is a handful.
• Where DID she acquire such gracefulness?
• Love that David's eyes are fixed on the TV and he is missing the amazingness that is about to descend on our couch. this is my life. ha ha!

This girl wants to be Spidergirl...look at those calf muscles!!

today I am praising God for reconciled friendships, healthy kids, adorably intense husband, beautiful bright sunshine, an opportunity to pray with TK today, a good yet quick visit with 3 of my favorite people (Randy, Uncle Frank and Aunt Nan) and the freedom, gas, health and ability to go to the YMCA with my sister and most of our kids. Well, all of her kids but 3/5 of mine.

I am not worthy. I stand in awe of God's orchestration.

Gotta run...Happy Wednesday to you and yours! I love YOU!

Girls Night Out, so to speak

this is what I think of your picture-taking hints, Beck...:) luv ya!

Mom, Beck, Mel, Pipes, Nora, Molly and I took a trip down to Edinburgh last night...in the hunt for Easter dresses! We had some great success, had a fun time, and ended our night at Cracker Barrel...Thanks, Grandma (and Gpa...in spirit...since he was working away at GM)...All the girls will look so cute on Easter...Mel even got some "young lady" dresses...my little girl is growing up right before my eyes.

This is Molly's idea of "doing the treadmill"...she's such a monkey...

Today is one of "those" days. A heavy day. but in a good way...that's all I can say. wish I could say more. I will rest in the fact that I am a child of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. God is in control, still on His throne, working in the lives of those that call on His name every moment of every day.
Chew on that for a bit.
Be back later...tonight is the big Yellow belt test...E. and Mel are slightly nervous, though their Shihan told them to rest assured.
Happy Tuesday, last day of March, almost April to you!

Eclipses and gripe-y kids

These three big kids of mine are going to be the death of me. It has been one of "those" weeks. Ethan and Melanie, especially...just nagging at each other, nasty tones of voices, rolling eyes, scratching, putting snow down their sister's back, tattling...ahhhhhhhhhh. You'd think we could get past this at their ages.
Ethan is a really nice kid but as I've blogged in the past, he really likes to keep me on my toes. He pushes my buttons. So after a trying day on Wednesday, they all got a good "talking to"...and when we were all done, I made them all do a hug-hug-hug...of course, they enjoyed seeing how tightly they could squeeze Melanie....ah ah ah!! but it's good every now and then, say every day or two, to just regroup, get over yourself and love the one you're with. It is so easy in this fast-paced life to put your own needs first. I really want to teach my kids to put others' needs before their own, even with their piddily little siblings. So that is my encouragement to you today, and if you are already doing this, good for you!! Do unto others as you would have done unto yourselves! The Golden Rule is such a good thing! What's funny though, is that while I'm "talking" to them, I'm talking to myself first and foremost.

These eclipse pictures were the best I could get...it was so darn cool! It was actually a bit spooky but I think I've mentioned that! it was like standing at the ocean and being in awe of God's Creation...wow, how did He do that? Scary yet awesome! How Great Thou art!

I have lots to do today, good things, fun things, but we got snow and ice. Gotta run, poopy diaper alert....thanks for letting me vent. I needed to do that badly. Have a great weekend.
