new gate and child restraints...

kinda scary

Fearless one!

I honestly cannot believe that we have to do this ("this" being putting gates and boards up around our stair well, locks on cabinet doors, lowering crib mattresses, etc.) already.

Wasn't Molly JUST born? I mean, really...she is so dang cute and fun but now becoming quite challenging, I must be honest. She is crawling, as I've mentioned, pulling up on stuff, and now pulling up and standing. She wants constant personal attention. And, heck, you'd think with all the peeps we have scrawling around over here, that would be no problem.

but if it isn't constant, she ain't happy. (I used that word on purpose!)

well, she'll have to learn at a young age...it isn't all about her. get over your adorable self!

That big bobble head of hers demands perpetual attention. If we are at a store or a restaurant, and someone walks by and pays no attention to her, she follows them with a gaze, as if to say, "Um, hi, why weren't you adoring me..."

Usually people pay attention to her though. She has irresistible eyeballs and that perfect Gerber-esque face (we still aren't sure where she came from). the loud baby babble does help...Beck and I had the baby girls out tonight and that nearly 10-mo. old and 8-mo. old are very loud. (man, I meant to get pics of our night out for this blog!! )

All this to say I just can't buh-leeve that my last child is on her way to walking and thus, independence. (and I still have to lose that baby weight!! but I'm working on it.)

Hope that this finds YOU doing well! Have a wonderful weekend! Peace LY

PS...I just read through this and wow, when I blog in the middle of the night, I blab on about nothing (of course, you probably think when I blog in the middle of the day, I do the exact same...grrrr)

she is such a total gerber baby :)
she sounds similar to sharkey - a mover and a shaker and wants attention ALL the time! they are cutie pies, but it is a bit draining! maybe it's a 'last child' syndrome :)

I LOVE this post. You can't go on too much about Miss Molly. Such a sweet baby girl. Glad you've got those stairs cordoned off...

I hate to break it to you, Mrs. Y, but your kids are growing faster than you think. Yes, Molly will be walking soon (and talking. Yikes!). Oh and don't forget that Will will be fifteen next year, that's old enough to drive! Hmm...maybe you should have some more kids how about that?! LOL.

I can relate well to this new phase with my little Lauren. The need for personal attention seems to get stronger every time I am on the phone! :)

She is adorable! Of course she needs all the attention! :) With those big eyes and that button nose, how do you get anything done?
(Don't you find yourself just staring at your kids sometimes? I agree - I've often wondered where mine came from.)
