These stairs are irresistible for littles. You can't help but want to slide down them over and over. I slid these same stairs as a child.

David and Uncle Frank, talking biz

Piper, Uncle John, Will and Levi...we all had such a good time visiting with my Dad's side of the family.

that's about all the blogging I can handle on this day....this first day of Autumn, 2010.

I wondered why it was such a funnnnnky day...and then a friend on Facebook reminded me that it was indeed an Equinox and yes, Billy, those do mess with one's system.

It's messing with mine.

I have so very much to blog about and so little desire to do so. I know you are all waiting with bated breath to see what is next in my world. (really?)

eat your heart out!

blogging again and don't it feel so good?

So glad to see my sister in law, Natalie, bloggin' again.
go check her out at:

...love her.

Michigan: Part I - Dawn & Rob

My cousin, Dawn, married Rob...that event is what spurred this trip on. and it's amazing the things we can come up with to keep ourselves busy and fill our time.

L to R: Jennifer, who is married to my cousin, Scott, who just happens to be Dawn's younger bro. Becky and I. We love to implement others into our self portraits. :)

L to R: Molly thinks she's Tarzan here. wow. Sara, who belongs to my cousin, Rhonda, who you will see below. Piper...my adorable niecey. cute little ladies.

wouldn't be a wedding without all that smooching.

L to R: Me, Dawnie, Rhonda, and Beck.

The wedding party.

so much catching up to do

Young Ideas shared boothspace with the IMI (Int'l Masonry Institute)...we thought that maybe it was the busiest booth but when it was announced at the end of the show, it was nice confirmation. David and Juan are superb salesmen.

David even ran into his former employer.

this is Richard. he was kinda scary but I'm sure completely harmless.

David and part of his amazing network of coolios. I like how the two guys have their hands on their hips. Becky (in pink, haha) and Juan. Two of the most awesome folks you'll ever wanna meet.

Before these memories get away from me, I wanted to get them posted. David's patent company took part in a local tradeshow. He met lots of architects, spec writers and others in the "industry".

Honestly, a lot of changes and great things are on the horizon. We are really excited and praising the Lord for all the storms and joys He takes us thru. I have so many thoughts roiling around in my noggin and not a clue how to get any of it out, making sense.

so honored to be alongside David on this roller coaster ride of life. so thankful that he has some fellow Christians to support him in the workforce. I stand amazed.

this post is just not doing any of the things taking place any justice at all. mush head.

David and Matt

Nathan and Aaron, outside the "Beer Barn"...currently brewing a pumpkin beer and a chocolate raspberry.

Carl and Judy, with their #1 and #2

Nick, Nat, Ryan, Amy, and Matt.

I may try to get back to blog about this but if I don't, the pics kinda speak for themselves.

I am too tuckered tonight...Hope your Monday was fab and that your Tuesday is even more faboo.

totally random but not really...

We picnicked by the Creation Cafe/Clarian section of the canal...I think it's the 11th St. portion. We are blessed to have such incredible friends as these...God was really looking out for us when he put them into our lives, officially TWO years...at the beginning of a difficult time in our lives.

Tambo and Bobby...

I totally love love love that Mel has two such amazing young ladies to be bosom friends with. Sarah and Annie are top notch gals. They come by it honestly, for their momma is one of thee finest Christian women I know.

this shoe picture doesn't match the other pictures but I wanted to make sure it got blogged. These little feet that never stop. I love 'em.

Hi.
We are embarking on one of the most challenging weeks of our lives since David quit his job with the S company and started his own company.
Challenging isn't necessarily a bad thing...but when it's a few challenging things all rolled up into one week? yeah, that's heart-explosion worthy.

I think my poor hubs may keel over. I'm praying for him, the kids are praying for him, his awesome work co-horts are (gosh, so amazing) praying for him...

Thursday of this week will find him at a Trade show in Broad Ripple...he will be at the booth with the IMI guy. While this is an incredible opportunity, it's a little mind boggling for a weary introvert. I am not sure what David would do without Juan or Becky...(or any of the other members of his crew). Please, if you find a minute in your day, pray for him...I know he'd appreciate it.

There are other things on the horizon, and I will write about them later...but for now, I'm off to bed. Monday's are brutal around here and this one was no exception. I need a chaffeur, nanny or life coach...

be back later...

cutie pie

sheer adorableness

he looks like he may speak here...

I stole these pix from my sister in law's Facebook page...so all credit goes to Natalie S., her amazing genes, Nick's amazing genes, and that killer camera. just in case you were wondering.

Ryan is almost ONE MONTH OLD now.

is he not THE cutest yiddle baby boy around? I'm pretty sure he is.

Seems like everyone is having babies. except for me. whew...scared ya there for a minute, huh?

Godspeed little man. You are loved.

maybe I'm crazy...maybe you're crazy....

A few weeks back, when my brother, Andy and crew was here, my entire immediate family went to the Drury Inn (our home away from home apparently) for one night. It was, in my opinion, a blast and a half. This picture and pretty much all that follow, are from that visit...

Mel was trying out Duncan's hockey gear...she should probably just stick to being a Naptown Roller girl.

These boys have something in common, besides blood. They are both second born boys, but not second rate by any means. love 'em both!

such a cool guy...

oooops, this was taken at our house...but Piper is becoming such a beauty of a young lady.

Tom, who has taken all of these pics as usual, caught Molly searching for local attractions and clean underwear. :)

Duncan loves his star shaped spectacles...

Nora, in a truly eerie photo.

Phebe, hiding behind her dad's luggage. i don't blame her...we are a scary sort.

time for the 5:30 kickback...lovin' the endless supply of "free" soda, snacks and such.

it's all good with Char...(he really is one of my faves)

and last, but certainly NOT least...Becky and her jazz hands. seriously, I'm wondering what is going on here...but she's such a poser, it could be just about anything. I luv you, sissy.

again, all credit is due to my photog brother, Thomas...he is a snap-a-holic and to that I say THANK YOU!

I'm going to bed...busy day(s) ahead...
